Information products are a hot selling commodity online. The fact is, people love information and are always hungry for more of it. Even with 'information overload', people still want more information. That's what makes information products sell like crazy online.
But how do you succeed in a so-called competitive niche? How do you silence the naysayers who say you can't succeed in this or that niche just because there appears to be a lot of competition?
Some will say differentiation, and that is one thing you can do. A better way to look at it is to think of your competition as potential partners. That's right.
The fact that a niche is competitive means that there is money being made. It's a market that has many buyers and sellers. Rather than going after an obscure niche, being in a huge niche means you can get a piece of a massive pie, rather than going after a small pie that can disappear anytime.
You'd want to look at your competitors as joint venture partners. Create a related product and contact them to sell if you can cross-promote each other's products. In this way, both of you gain by selling more products. This can be done through a simple banner on the Thank You page, or an email to subscribers.
The fact is: many people don't succeed to their full potential in information marketing (and in life) because of the limitations they have placed upon themselves. Think differently, think outside the box, and you'll overcome the obstacles.
